Gold prices plummet sharply in Nepal
Such a sharp decline in a single day is considered rare, especially when gold prices typically experience only minor daily fluctuations.

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s gold market witnessed a significant price crash today, with the price of Chhapawal gold dropping by a staggering Rs 4,600 per tola in a single day.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of Chhapawal gold has fallen from Rs 188,100 per tola on Tuesday to Rs 183,500 on Thursday.
Such a sharp decline in a single day is considered rare, especially when gold prices typically experience only minor daily fluctuations.
Silver prices have also trended downward.
After trading at Rs 1,965 per tola on Tuesday, silver prices dropped by Rs 50, falling to Rs 1,915 on Wednesday.
Market analysts suggest that fluctuations in the international bullion market, along with changes in demand and currency exchange rates, could be influencing the domestic pricing trend.
