Four held, including minor, for alleged kidnapping in Kalaiya
Sah was rescued on Tuesday night from a house located in Birgunj Metropolitan City–12, Murli, during a police operation.
KATHMANDU: Four individuals, including a minor, have been arrested on charges of abducting Sudhir Prasad Sah from Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City–18, Birgunj according to the Parsa District Police Office.
Sah was rescued on Tuesday night from a house located in Birgunj Metropolitan City–12, Murli, during a police operation.
The police identified three of the suspects as Rikesh Kumar, Rajan Gupta, and Sikendra Sah of Sakhuwaprasouni Rural Municipality.
The identity of the minor suspect has not been disclosed due to legal reasons.
Parsa District Police Office spokesperson Subash Bhatt confirmed the arrests and rescue operation. “We acted swiftly upon receiving information and safely rescued the victim from captivity,” he stated.
The Parsa District Court has granted permission to keep all four suspects in custody for five days for further investigation under charges related to abduction and illegal detention.
