KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended best wishes to all the workers at home and abroad on the occasion of International Labour Day, today.
In a message of best wishes through social media, PM Oli said the society has survived and the country has moved forward with the sweat and dedication of the workers.
Sharing that he had to face troll and satire while launching the contribution-based social security scheme for the social security of the workers a few years ago, Oli noted that more than two million workers have benefited from the scheme.
He further empathized that the contribution-based social security scheme has not only secured the work but also the future of the workers’ families.
PM Oli added that they were successful in bringing these changes in the bright face of the children.
“Let’s respect labor, let’s respect workers. Jaya Shramik, Jaya Desh!”, the message reads.
