JSP leader Dr. Boby clarifies viral ‘pistol dance’ video, says it was a toy gun
In the video, Dr. Yadav is seen performing a dance while holding an object resembling a firearm and mimicking a firing gesture.

KATHMAANDU: Dr. Bobby Singh Yadav, a leader of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), has issued an official clarification regarding a viral video circulating widely on social media, which shows her dancing with what appears to be a pistol in hand during a wedding celebration.
In the video, Dr. Yadav is seen performing a dance while holding an object resembling a firearm and mimicking a firing gesture.
However, in a statement released through her official Facebook page, she clarified that the object was merely a toy gun known as a “Ranger Toy.”
“My serious attention has been drawn to the video that has gone viral on social media recently,” she wrote. “The so-called firing seen in the video was done using a Ranger Toy during a wedding ceremony, purely for entertainment purposes. I sincerely request everyone not to exaggerate the matter.”
Dr. Yadav further emphasized that the video was recorded solely for entertainment and should not be interpreted in a political, social, or legal context.
Public reactions on social media have been mixed. While some have criticized the act as inappropriate for a political leader, others have dismissed it as harmless fun in a festive setting.
