Weather: Rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall forecast across various regions of Nepal
Light rainfall accompanied by thunder has been reported at a few locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces.

KATHMANDU: A combination of westerly winds, local weather systems, and moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal is currently influencing weather patterns across Nepal, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
As a result, partial to generally cloudy conditions are being observed over the hilly regions of the country, while the skies remain mostly clear in other areas.
Light rainfall accompanied by thunder has been reported at a few locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces.
During the day, skies across the country are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy.
There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder at some places in the hilly regions and at isolated locations in other parts of the country. Snowfall is also possible in high-altitude Himalayan areas.
Additionally, strong winds are likely in the Terai plains of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
Tonight, light rainfall with thunder is expected at a few locations in the hilly regions. Light snowfall accompanied by rain is also likely in some parts of the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.
Due to these weather conditions, the Department has urged the public to remain cautious as daily life, agriculture, health, road, and air transport services may be affected.
