KATHMANDU: The Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP) is preparing to withdraw from the government after the arrest of its patron, Resham Chaudhary.
NUP Chairperson Ranjita Shrestha confirmed the decision, stating that the party is making arrangements to exit the ruling coalition.
She also mentioned that she would be meeting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today to formally submit the resignation.
Currently, Arun Chaudhary from the NUP serves as the State Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation in the Oli-led government.
