RPP Chair Lingden calls for unity among nationalist forces to end lootocracy & tyranny
Lingden warned that while things may appear normal on the surface, the country is currently going through one of its most difficult phases.

KATHMANDU: Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, has called for unity among all nationalist forces to put an end to what he termed as “lootocracy” and growing tyranny being carried out in the name of democracy in Nepal.
Speaking at a protest rally organized by RPP in Kathmandu on Monday, Lingden warned that while things may appear normal on the surface, the country is currently going through one of its most difficult phases.
“The nation is not only plagued by corruption and misgovernance but also facing uncertainty regarding the future of our next generation,” Lingden said.
He stressed the urgent need for all patriotic nationalist forces to come together to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and future.
He claimed that the Nepali people are now looking at the RPP with hope and expectation. Lingden urged all concerned to set aside their personal biases and come together for the greater good of the country.
He reaffirmed that the RPP is fully committed to leading the nation toward a way out of its current political and social crisis.
Expressing strong objection, Lingden said RPP leaders were being unfairly arrested for voicing support for the monarchy.
He pointed out the incident of Chaitra 15 (March 28), alleging that self-proclaimed democrats mocked human rights and democracy by suppressing peaceful voices.
“We are being forced to endure injustice and autocracy just because we cannot operate freely,” Lingden stated, adding that true democrats should stand against such repression.
He concluded by urging all citizens and political forces to unite and launch a strong movement against the corrupt system operating under the guise of democracy.
He also called for the immediate release of RPP leaders detained following the March 28 incident and demanded an impartial judicial investigation into the matter.
