KATHMANDU: Teachers across Nepal have continued their protests today, demanding the immediate enactment of the long-pending School Education Bill.

For several days, educators have been staging demonstrations at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu, pressing the government to introduce the legislation that has been delayed for an extended period.

The protesting teachers insist that their agitation will continue until the bill is officially passed.

Despite assurances from the government that the bill would be introduced during the current budget session of Parliament, the teachers remain firm in their stance.

They argue that only the formal implementation of the School Education Act will address their concerns and bring about the necessary reforms in the education sector.

“We will not end our movement until the bill is brought into effect,” the protesting teachers have reiterated.
