Dahal urges collective commitment for good governance

KATHMANDU: The Chair of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, has emphasized the need for a collective commitment to address citizens’ issues and establish good governance.
At the beginning of today’s meeting, he highlighted the importance of serious discussions on issues related to public services and citizens’ concerns, urging the need to reach conclusions that align with the public’s expectations.
“We are closely monitoring activities against the federal democratic republican system and the constitution, established through the sacrifice and dedication of the Nepali people,” Chair Dahal stated. “In this regard, I believe the entire National Assembly must take this matter seriously,” he added. “It is crucial to promptly address the voices of dissatisfaction expressed on the streets and expedite the formulation of laws through the Parliament to address these concerns.”
Chairman Dahal also mentioned that as soon as the bills, including the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080, the School Education Bill, 2080, and the Nepal Police Bill, 2081, are registered in the National Assembly, they will be prioritized for processing.
He expressed confidence that members would engage in objective discussions on the upcoming fiscal year’s policies, programs, and budget, and participate constructively in the budget-related debates.
