KATHMANDU: In a recent statement to the media at the Parliament building, Dr. Shashank Koirala, a Member of Parliament from the Nepali Congress, emphasized the urgent need to pass the School Education Bill during the ongoing legislative session.

Dr. Koirala noted that discussions are currently taking place with teachers regarding their demands, but further details would only be clear after the ongoing talks conclude.

He reaffirmed his party’s positive stance on fulfilling the teachers’ demands.

“The discussions with the teachers are ongoing, and while the exact outcome remains uncertain, it is crucial that the School Education Bill be passed during this session. We are taking a positive approach,” said Dr. Koirala.

Since April 7, teachers across the country have been staging protests demanding the enactment of the School Education Bill, a key piece of legislation aimed at addressing critical issues in Nepal’s education sector.
