Saptari bus accident: Death toll rises to three
Their bodies have been taken to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj for post-mortem and identification.

KATHMANDU: The death toll in the passenger bus accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon at Badgama, Kanchanrup Municipality-10, along the East-West Highway, has risen to three.
According to Superintendent of Police Dhakendra Khatiwada of Saptari, 75-year-old Ratna Bahadur Magarati of Saptakoshi Municipality-1, who had sustained critical injuries in the accident, passed away during treatment at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar.
The bus, bearing registration number Province 1-01-001 Kha 3420, was en route from Gaighat to Biratnagar when it went out of control and crashed. Among the deceased, the identities of one man and one woman are yet to be confirmed.
Their bodies have been taken to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj for post-mortem and identification.
Over two dozen passengers were injured in the incident.
They have been sent to various hospitals for treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken the bus driver into custody for investigation.
