Four arrested with drugs
All suspects have been taken into custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
KATHMANDU: The District Police Office of Kailali has arrested four individuals in connection with drug possession.
According to police reports, a joint team from the Wada Police Office and the Narcotics Bureau in Dhangadhi apprehended the suspects during a routine check.
The first arrest occurred near the Customs Office in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-2, where 24-year-old Kiran Bahadur BK from Doti, Jorayal Rural Municipality-1, was found with 2.12 grams of brown heroin.
Similarly, another arrest was made near Shisha Post in the Sub-Metropolitan City-3, where 27-year-old Sagar Chaudhary from Godawari Municipality-2 was found in possession of 1.14 grams of brown heroin.
A third arrest took place at Boradandi in Sub-Metropolitan City-3, where a joint team discovered 2.58 kilograms of hashish with 53-year-old Belmati Bohara from Gauriganga Municipality-8.
The final arrest was made near Barel in Sub-Metropolitan City-2, where 27-year-old Virendra Singh Bhatta from Baitadi District’s Dasharathchand Municipality-1 was found with 660 milligrams of brown heroin.
In total, authorities seized 3.92 grams of brown heroin and 2.58 kilograms of hashish from the four individuals.
All suspects have been taken into custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
