MP Manish Jha challenges govt. to talk achievements, not just tenure

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Manish Jha has openly challenged the government to focus on showcasing its achievements rather than boasting about its time in power.
Speaking during Sunday’s session of the House of Representatives, MP Jha remarked that the government’s accomplishments—or lack thereof—would reveal more about its effectiveness than the mere length of its tenure.
“At a time when the global community is engaged in discussions on economy and the looming threat of war, Nepal’s Minister of Industry seems more focused on the pricing of liquor and cigarette licenses,” Jha said, criticizing the government’s priorities.
He also accused the ruling coalition of forgetting the seven-point agreement made at the time of government formation, stating that the promises made have largely been neglected.
Jha further alleged that the current administration, instead of addressing issues in the cooperative sector, has resorted to imprisoning leaders of emerging political parties under the guise of action.
