Two dies in bus accident

KATHMANDU: A bus accident occurred in Badgam, Kanchnarup Municipality-10, Saptari, on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the death of two individuals.
The bus, bearing the registration number Province 1-01-001 Kha 3420, was traveling from Gaighat to Biratnagar when it lost control and crashed.
According to Saptari’s Superintendent of Police, Dhakendra Khatiwada, the victims—one male and one female—died on the spot after being trapped in the wreckage.
The bodies of the deceased are being transported to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj for post-mortem examination. In addition, six others were injured in the crash and have been taken to various hospitals for treatment.
A rescue operation is underway, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Kafle, with police teams working tirelessly at the scene to assist the injured and manage the aftermath of the accident.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
