KATHMANDU: A moderate earthquake shook the Kanjiroba region of Dolpa early Sunday morning at 3:06 AM, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center.

Senior seismologist Dr. Lok Bijay Adhikari confirmed that the quake measured 4.0 on the Richter scale.

This tremor follows a similar incident on Friday in Sindhupalchowk, which caused temporary panic among residents but resulted in no major damage.

So far, no significant casualties or structural damages have been reported from either earthquake.

However, experts have warned that smaller tremors can sometimes be precursors to larger seismic events.

They are urging the public to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
