Scooter rider killed in jeep collision

KATHMANDU: A woman lost her life after a scooter was hit by a jeep in Chitwan on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Laxmi Bagale of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-6.

According to Chitwan District Police Office, the incident occurred when a jeep (Na 5 Cha 2644) en route from Geetanagar to Bharatpur struck a scooter (Na 45 Pa 1795).

Bagale, who was riding the scooter, was critically injured and rushed to Bharatpur Hospital, where she died during treatment, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal.
