Speaking at the House of Representatives on Friday, Jwala criticized the government for ignoring the demands of teachers who have been staging protests for the past 24 days.

KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) lawmaker Prakash Jwala has urged the government to fast-track the School Education Bill and create an environment for protesting teachers to return to their posts.
Speaking at the House of Representatives on Friday, Jwala criticized the government for ignoring the demands of teachers who have been staging protests for the past 24 days.
He accused the government of trying to suppress the movement instead of addressing their concerns.
He emphasized the need for an education bill that guarantees quality education and urged the government not to neglect the ongoing agitation, which he warned could jeopardize students’ academic future.
Jwala also condemned the government for remaining indifferent while teachers suffer in the scorching heat during their protests.
He further stated that the government is surrounded by multiple crises, including those of cooperative victims, loan shark victims, and medical sector grievances.
Issuing a stern warning, he urged the government not to suppress the voices of the people.
