KATHMANDU: In a statement made during the Friday session of the House of Representatives, Dolprasad Aryal, Acting President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, accused the government of creating obstacles for those attempting to bring change to the country.

Aryal criticized the government’s actions, stating that individuals working tirelessly, even for 18 hours a day, to brighten the country, have become targets of government scrutiny.

He remarked, “People who have been working 18 hours daily to bring progress to the nation are now under attack by the government. It is clear that the government is trying to hinder those attempting to bring about change.”

Aryal also highlighted ongoing issues such as the failure to return savings to cooperative victims and expressed concerns about the government’s inability to address the challenges faced by various sectors. He pointed to controversies surrounding appointments to positions like governors and commissions, as well as the protests from teachers and health workers, indicating that the government has failed to cover up its shame despite these issues. “The resignation of the Education Minister and the ongoing strikes from teachers and healthcare workers have not managed to hide the government’s shame,” he said.

He also criticized the government’s foreign relations, stating that it has not succeeded in maintaining a balanced and respectful stance internationally. Additionally, Aryal raised concerns about the lack of trust in the government, which he believes has led to a stagnation in business activities. “The private sector is in a dire situation. There is no trust in the government, and despite banks offering loans with lower interest rates, business owners are hesitant to take on loans and expand their businesses due to the lack of investment security,” he remarked.

Finally, Aryal posed a critical question regarding the country’s future: “Among the political parties that have approached the government for reforms, who will take the lead in bringing about true change?”
