Suryajyoti Life Insurance celebrates 17th anniversary, marks 16 glorious years of service

KATHMANDU: Suryajyoti Life Insurance, the first life insurance company in Nepal to successfully complete a merger, celebrated its 17th anniversary after completing 16 glorious years of dedicated service.
This historic milestone was marked with a special event attended by the company’s Chairman, Board Directors, former Directors, CEO, senior management, department heads, and 21 employees who have served the company for over 15 years and were honored for their dedication.
On the occasion, CEO Prakash Bikram Khatri extended his heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders for their unwavering support throughout the company’s 17-year journey. He emphasized the company’s strong financial foundation, growing trust, and improved performance indicators.
Khatri reaffirmed Suryajyoti’s commitment to adopting cutting-edge technologies and delivering time-relevant, customer-friendly services.
He also pledged to further strengthen the company’s brand and reputation while striving toward broader expansion and excellence.
CEO Khatri also highlighted the company’s priority towards employee welfare, skill development, and personality growth, emphasizing that Suryajyoti fosters a familial working environment.
He further reiterated the company’s commitment to sustainable economic growth, long-term strategic plans, and enhancing service quality to provide assurance and security to its policyholders.
Khatri also stated that the company is on track to achieve record-breaking performance by the end of the current fiscal year 2081/82.

The company has recently launched two innovative digital services: Suryajyoti e-Karja, Nepal’s first-ever online loan service in the life insurance sector, and Suryajyoti Cares Digital Card, aimed at benefiting policyholders and agents.
Suryajyoti Life Insurance Company Limited is Nepal’s first life insurer to receive ISO 9001:2015 certification.
The company currently boasts a paid-up capital of Rs. 5.01 billion, total investments exceeding Rs. 44 billion, a life insurance fund of Rs. 39.4 billion, and a net worth of Rs. 6.3 billion.
It has issued over 3.275 million policies, has a network of 174 branches across the country, and is supported by 102,240 trained agents.
Notably, Suryajyoti Life is also the first and only life insurance company in Nepal to offer coverage of up to Rs. 5 million for the treatment of 35 critical illnesses, solidifying its position as an industry leader in customer-centric innovation and protection.
