KATHMANDU: A small mini-truck loaded with mineral water bottles arrived amid the protest. As it stopped, a crowd of teachers rushed toward it, hoping to quench their thirst. While some managed to grab bottles, others extended their hands in vain—only to be left empty-handed as the supply ran out.

The empty, disappointed hands slowly dropped back, reflecting the growing challenge faced by teachers protesting on the streets of Kathmandu.

On this 24th consecutive day of the movement, the scarcity of drinking water has become a pressing issue for the demonstrators.

Meanwhile, President of the Teachers’ Federation, Laxmikishor Subedi, stated on Facebook that the protest will continue until the Education Act is enacted.
