NRNA Australia Chief meets PM Oli, talks investment & ties
According to Pokhrel, the meeting focused on creating a more investment-friendly environment in Nepal, as non-resident Nepalis are eager to increase their investments in the country.

KATHMANDU: Anil Pokhrel, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Australia, met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Baluwatar last night to discuss enhancing investment opportunities and bilateral cooperation.
According to Pokhrel, the meeting focused on creating a more investment-friendly environment in Nepal, as non-resident Nepalis are eager to increase their investments in the country.
“We discussed the contribution of the Nepali community to Australia’s economy, and how the diaspora can positively impact Nepal’s economic growth,” said President Pokhrel.
The meeting also covered the effective use of the Trade and Investment Promotion Framework, the expansion of bilateral relations between Nepal and Australia, and the possibility of high-level visits between the two countries.
Pokhrel further shared that discussions were held regarding organizing NRNA’s upcoming unified annual general assembly with support from the government.
