Pakistan denounces India’s actions after Kashmir attack, plans countermeasures

KATHMANDU: Pakistan has accused India of making irresponsible and legally baseless moves following a recent shooting incident in Indian-administered Kashmir. Pakistan has vowed to adopt a series of retaliatory measures in response.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement following a high-level meeting of the National Security Committee on Thursday, expressed concern over the loss of tourist lives in the incident.
The committee condemned all forms of terrorism and criticized India’s attempt to link the attack to Pakistan without credible evidence.

In retaliation, Pakistan announced several measures, including the closure of the Wagah border post, suspension of some visa facilities for Indian nationals, and the declaration of Indian defense, naval, and air advisers in Islamabad as undesirable persons.
Pakistan also declared its intention to close its airspace to all Indian airlines and halt all commercial activities with India.
India, on the other hand, has accused Pakistan of being involved in the attack, with the Indian government announcing measures such as suspending the Indus Water Treaty, closing borders, and expelling Pakistani officials.
