DHARAN (Sunsari): The two-day Dharan Job Fair-2082 started on Thursday.
The event is ending today, which is being held at Public High School in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-12.
The Social Development Ministry of Koshi Province, Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City and Dharan Chamber of Commerce and Industry have joined hands together to convene the fair.
The fair is being organized to help provide job opportunities to the youths in the country.
On the occasion, Social Development Minister of Koshi Province Panch Karn Rai said that this event would help connect the employers and employees in the areas of local industries, business, tourism, hospitality industry, education sector, health care and other areas.
Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Harkaraj Rai said that some 500 youths would get jobs directly while 5,000 others would be get job opportunities, career counselling, skill-based training and other services.
He hoped that this would fill the gaps of adequate skilled human resources supply in the industry sector, and reduce the exodus of local youths to foreign countries.
A total of 31 stalls of local industries, business firms, training institutions, and technical, administrative and labour enterprises have been managed.
Deputy Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Ayindra Bikram Begha, chair of Dharan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bijaya Shrestha, Koshi Province Assembly Member Yashoda Kayastha and others were present on the fair.
