Dr. Shashank Koirala stresses unity for strengthening democracy
He highlighted that for effective implementation of democracy, Nepali Congress must be strong and united, devoid of any factionalism.

KATHMANDU: Dr. Shashank Koirala, a leader of the Nepali Congress, emphasized the necessity of unity among all political parties, stakeholders, and the public to strengthen democracy.
Speaking at a tea reception and goodwill exchange event held at his residence in Maharajganj on the occasion of Democracy Day and the New Year 2082, Koirala urged for collective efforts in safeguarding democracy.
He highlighted that for effective implementation of democracy, Nepali Congress must be strong and united, devoid of any factionalism.
Dr. Koirala stressed that democracy ensures the rights of all, and for its protection, everyone must remain vigilant and conscious.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Urban Development Prakashman Singh, Minister for Energy, Irrigation, and Water Resources Dipak Khadka, leaders Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Bimalendra Nidhi, Vijay Kumar Gachhadar, Gopalman Shrestha, NP Saud, spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, Mahesh Acharya, Dipak Giri, central members of the party, as well as leaders and activists from various affiliated and well-wishers’ organizations.
