Teachers protest for School Education Bill, continue demonstrations (video)
The teachers have warned they will not halt their protests until the bill is passed.

KATHMANDU: Teachers protesting for the implementation of the School Education Bill have continued their demonstrations today.
For the past three weeks, they have been staging protests at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu, demanding the bill’s enactment.
The teachers have warned they will not halt their protests until the bill is passed.
The government has called for a budget session on May 12, and while teachers were promised that the bill would be introduced during this session, they remain steadfast in their protest until it is officially enacted.
Due to the ongoing protests, the scheduled Grade 12 exams, set to begin on April 25, have been postponed.
Although the government has assured that the bill will be passed by the end of the month, teachers remain skeptical about the government’s commitment.
