Federal Parliament’s monsoon session to begin tomorrow
According to Article 93 of Nepal's Constitution, the President has the authority to call the sessions of both houses of Parliament as needed.

KATHMANDU: The Monsoon Session of the Federal Parliament is set to begin tomorrow, Friday, at 1 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
This session has been convened on the recommendation of the Cabinet and the President, Ramchandra Paudel.
According to Article 93 of Nepal’s Constitution, the President has the authority to call the sessions of both houses of Parliament as needed.
There is a constitutional provision that mandates no more than a six-month gap between the conclusion of one session and the commencement of the next.
The winter session of Parliament concluded on March 31. After the initiation of the first session each year, the President addresses a joint session of both houses during the policy and program presentation. The President will address Parliament during this session.
As per constitutional provisions, the Finance Minister is scheduled to present the budget for the upcoming fiscal year on May 29. This session is also known as the Budget Session.
The policy and program will be presented on May 2, and pre-budget discussions are expected to begin on May 11, in accordance with legal requirements that mandate these discussions 15 days prior to the budget presentation.
Before that, there will be discussions in the house on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill.
This session is expected to present long-awaited bills, including the Federal Civil Service Act and the School Education Bill, with efforts to finalize them.
The Parliament Secretariat has completed all necessary administrative and technical preparations for the smooth conduct of the session, as confirmed by the spokesperson of the Secretariat, Ekram Giri.
