Doctors, police clash at Maitighar (photos)

KATHMANDU: Resident doctors working in private medical colleges have taken to the streets, demanding equal living allowances as provided to those in government institutions.

Wearing their white coats, the doctors staged a protest at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu.

During the demonstration, a brief scuffle broke out between the protesting doctors and the police.

Leaders of the protesting doctors have also urged authorities to implement the decisions made by the Medical Education Commission.
