KATHMANDU: Mumbai Indians continued their impressive form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by registering their fourth straight victory, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets on Wednesday.

With this win, Mumbai has climbed to third place in the points table.

Chasing a modest target of 144 runs, Mumbai reached the total comfortably with 26 balls to spare, losing only three wickets in the process.

Opener Rohit Sharma led the charge with a stellar 70-run knock off 46 deliveries, smashing eight fours and three sixes.

He was well supported by Suryakumar Yadav, who played a quickfire unbeaten innings of 40 runs from just 19 balls, including five boundaries and two sixes.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad, after losing the toss and being put in to bat, had a shaky start.

They lost their fourth wicket with only 13 runs on the board, and their fifth at 35.

However, Heinrich Klaasen and Abhinav Manohar steadied the innings with a solid 99-run partnership for the sixth wicket.

Klaasen played an aggressive knock of 71 runs off 44 balls, while Manohar contributed 43 from 37 balls.

Other batters failed to make a significant impact.

Mumbai’s bowling unit delivered a disciplined performance, with Trent Boult emerging as the standout bowler.
