Tractor accidents in seprate places claim two lives
In a separate incident, a man was killed after being hit by a tractor in Khotang.
KATHMANDU: A tractor accident occurred on the Koshi Highway in Dhankuta Municipality-9, Rudrabari, resulting in the death of one individual.
The tractor, numbered Ko 2 Ta 7934, went out of control after a punctured tire, leading to the death of a person, approximately 20 years old, at the scene.
Police spokesperson DSP Omprakash Khanal confirmed the details, adding that the driver of the tractor is currently on the run, and search operations are underway.
In a separate incident, a man was killed after being hit by a tractor in Khotang.
On Tuesday night, a tractor numbered Province 2, 010001 1464, struck 45-year-old Yadav Rai from Ainselukharka-1, Rakhawangle, leading to his death.
According to Khotang District Police Office spokesperson Sushant Mishra, the tractor, en route from Rakhawangle to Fedi, hit Rai.
His body is set to undergo a post-mortem at the Ainselukharka Primary Health Center.
