Five held with brown sugar in Sunsari
The suspects were apprehended while walking suspiciously from India towards Nepal, near the Custom Office in Ward No. 1 of Koshi Rural Municipality.

KATHMANDU: A joint police team from the Narcotics Control Bureau in Biratnagar and the Laukahi Area Police Office in Sunsari arrested five individuals with brown sugar.
The suspects were apprehended while walking suspiciously from India towards Nepal, near the Custom Office in Ward No. 1 of Koshi Rural Municipality.
The arrested individuals have been identified as 27-year-old Rajan Bastola from Chisankhugadhi Rural Municipality-4, Okhaldhunga; 20-year-old Anoj Kumar Urav from Bhokraha Narasingh Rural Municipality-6, Sunsari; 25-year-old Rupesh Kumar Yadav from Bhokraha-3, Sunsari; 20-year-old Mo. Sameer Khan from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-17, and 20-year-old Rajesh Puri, also from Itahari-17.
According to Sunsari Police, the following amounts of brown sugar were seized from the suspects: 1.84 grams from Bastola, 1.20 grams from Urav, 5.11 grams from Khan, and 1.51 grams from Yadav.
The arrested individuals are currently under investigation.
In recent times, Sunsari police have been regularly apprehending drug users as part of ongoing efforts to combat substance abuse in the region.
