Indian Energy Ministers visit Muktinath Temple

KATHMANDU: India’s Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, offered prayers at the sacred Muktinath Temple in Mustang this morning.

He was accompanied by Nepal’s Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka.

Chief District Officer of Mustang, Bishnu Prasad Bhusal, confirmed that Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, along with a 16-member delegation, joined the ministers during the visit.

The delegation received traditional blessings from Muktinath Temple priest Krishna Prasad Subedi, who offered them ‘tika’ and ‘prasad’.

Earlier, the team was welcomed by CDO Bhusal, local security officials, and representatives of the community.
