Nepali citizen among 27 killed in terror attack in Kashmir
Though the death of the Nepali citizen has been officially confirmed, authorities have yet to release name and permanent address.

KATHMANDU: A Nepali national has been confirmed among the 27 people killed in a deadly terrorist attack near Baisaran Valley, close to Pahalgam in Indian-administered Kashmir, on Monday.
The attack, which reportedly targeted Indian tourists, also claimed the life of a citizen from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while the remaining victims were all Indian nationals, according to The Times of India.
Though the death of the Nepali citizen has been officially confirmed, authorities have yet to release name and permanent address.
Baisaran Valley, located approximately five kilometers from the popular tourist town of Pahalgam, was the site of the attack.
Inspector General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Vidhya Kumar Birdi, stated that security forces had not yet been able to reach the exact location due to challenging terrain and security risks.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
Following the incident, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his official visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to India late Tuesday night, as reported by The Times of India.
Originally, he was scheduled to remain in Saudi Arabia until Wednesday night.
