KATHMANDU: Nawaraj Subedi, the coordinator of the ‘Joint People’s Movement Committee for the Restoration of the Monarchy,’ has been released from house arrest today.

In a press release on Tuesday, Subedi informed that the police surveillance on him has been lifted as of today.

He also mentioned that he has resumed his work with the committee.

“I was under constant police surveillance since Chaitra 15. As of today, the surveillance has been removed, and I have returned to the regular activities of the Joint People’s Movement Committee,” Subedi said.

He expressed gratitude to all those who showed support and sympathy during this time.

Subedi was placed under house arrest after the royalist demonstration in Tinkune on March 28 turned violent.
