KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 9.96 points on Tuesday, falling 0.36% compared to the previous day, settling at 2,688.32 points.

Out of the traded stocks, 86 companies saw their share prices increase, while 160 experienced a decrease, and one remained unchanged.
A total of 71,694 transactions took place, with 22.55 million shares being bought and sold, amounting to a trading volume of Rs 8.32 billion.
This represents a drop in both the NEPSE index and the trading volume compared to Monday, when shares worth Rs 8.77 billion were traded.
Among the 13 subgroups traded that day, the indices for the Hotel & Tourism, Manufacturing & Processing, and Others sectors increased, while the remaining subgroups saw declines, contributing to the overall fall in the NEPSE index.
