GIBL unveils ‘Rooftop Solar Loan’ scheme on earth day

KATHMANDU: On the occasion of Earth Day, Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL) has introduced a Rooftop Solar Loan scheme to promote the installation of solar systems in industrial and commercial buildings.

The key objectives of the loan are to expand access to renewable energy, reduce dependency on hydropower, ensure energy security, and minimize environmental impact by lowering energy consumption.

Productive sectors such as hotels, hospitals, cold storage facilities, housing companies, commercial buildings, and educational institutions are expected to benefit directly from this scheme.
