Infant dies after parents’ brutal assault
The child was left severely injured in the family's veranda, and locals rushed him to Rampur Hospital in Palpa.
KATHMANDU: A four-month-old infant has tragically died in Armal, Baudikali Rural Municipality-1, Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta East) after being severely beaten by his parents.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhu Nepal from the District Police Office, the parents, Dipendra Pariyar and his wife Kamala Pariyar, had consumed alcohol and physically assaulted their infant son late at night.
The child was left severely injured in the family’s veranda, and locals rushed him to Rampur Hospital in Palpa.
Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The parents, aged 21 and 35, are now in police custody on charges of homicide. Local resident Sukbahadur Nepali revealed that Kamala had remarried Dipendra a few years ago.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
