2 held for scooter theft in Bhaktapur
The scooter was identified as belonging to Salina Karki.

KATHMANDU: Three individuals have been arrested on charges of stealing scooters from various locations in Bhaktapur.
The arrested include 32-year-old Sajan Tamang from Dharan, Sunsari, currently residing in Thimi, Bhaktapur; 26-year-old Dawa Sherpa from Sindhupalchowk, residing in Bode, Bhaktapur; and 27-year-old Rojan Thapa from Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-6, Bhaktapur.
The arrest occurred when Sajan was caught riding a scooter, originally registered under the number Bagmati Province 02-037 Pa 2407, which had been altered to display the number Bagmati Province 02-040 Pa 0524, in Kageshwari Municipality-7.
The scooter was identified as belonging to Salina Karki.
During questioning, Sajan revealed that he had planned to sell the stolen scooter in collaboration with Dawa.
After Dawa was arrested, further investigation revealed that Rojan had acquired the scooter from him.
In turn, Rojan confessed that the scooter had been handed over to him by 27-year-old Sujan Gurung from Nalinchok, Bhaktapur.
The police subsequently recovered another scooter, bearing the registration number Ba 66 Pa 8785, which had also been stolen.
The second scooter was reported as stolen from the Sanogauchharan area in Kathmandu by Vikas Lama, who had filed a complaint with the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office. Sajan Gurung, however, remains at large, while investigations into the arrested trio continue.
