KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported a partial influence of local and western winds across Nepal.

According to the forecast, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected this afternoon over most hilly areas, including Koshi Province.
There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces, and at a few isolated places in the hilly regions of other provinces.
Light snowfall is also likely at one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces.
Similar weather patterns are expected to persist into the night.
The hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces will likely remain partly to generally cloudy, with chances of isolated light rain accompanied by thunder. High hill and mountainous regions could continue to see light snowfall.
Given these changing weather conditions, the Department has advised the public to exercise caution, noting possible impacts on agriculture, health, daily life, road travel, and air transportation.
