Karnali CM discusses delayed projects with construction entrepreneurs
Chief Minister Kandel expressed concern over contractors leaving projects incomplete for years and urged them to vacate sites if they were unable to carry out the work.

KATHMANDU: Karnali Province Chief Minister Yam Lal Kandel held discussions with construction entrepreneurs following disappointing progress on long-pending development projects across the province.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Infrastructure and Urban Development Sher Bahadur Budha, district-level officials, and construction representatives.
Chief Minister Kandel expressed concern over contractors leaving projects incomplete for years and urged them to vacate sites if they were unable to carry out the work.
Minister Budha informed that 35 major projects across Karnali remain incomplete, significantly hindering the province’s development efforts.
He said the discussion aimed to bring all stakeholders together to find solutions.
Stressing that the current fiscal year still has time remaining, Chief Minister Kandel urged contractors to accelerate work.
He also assured that the provincial government is ready to address the challenges faced by contractors to ensure timely project completion.
