Another arrest warrant issued against detained Durga Prasai

KATHMANDU: A fresh arrest warrant has been issued against Durga Prasai, who is currently in police custody in connection with the violent Tinkune incident.

According to police sources, the new warrant pertains to allegations of banking offenses.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has initiated further investigation into the case following a formal request from Nepal Rastra Bank.

“Another arrest warrant has been issued against Prasai,” a police official confirmed. “The investigation is ongoing.”

Prasai is accused of misusing loans acquired from financial institutions.

He was taken into custody earlier on charges of inciting violence in Tinkune on March 28 and attempting to attack police personnel.
