Hearing on governor appointment case deferred again
The case now awaits a new date for hearing.

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has once again deferred the hearing on the writ petition filed against the amended criteria for the appointment of the Governor.
The case, listed on Monday before the bench of Justices Mahesh Sharma Paudel and Nripadhwaj Niraula, could not be heard due to time constraints.
Advocates Pratibha Upreti and Bishal Thapa had filed the petition, challenging the recent removal of the age limit for the Governor’s position and alleging that Gunakar Bhatta, the proposed candidate, does not meet the required qualifications.
The same petition was also scheduled for hearing on Sunday before the bench of Justices Hari Prasad Phuyal and Nityananda Pandey.
However, it was listed late in the day and remained unheard.
The case now awaits a new date for hearing.
