Man held for displaying weapons on TikTok

KATHMANDU: A 21-year-old man has been arrested for displaying firearms and other weapons on TikTok, causing panic among locals.
The suspect, identified as Raghubinda Yadav of Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality Ward No. 6, Mahadev, had posted videos on his TikTok account showing a pistol, sword, and khukuri (traditional Nepali knife).
Following complaints from the public about fear and unrest triggered by the videos, a police team from the Area Police Office, Pakadi, apprehended Yadav from Mayadevi Hotel in Mayadevi Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 on Sunday, according to DSP Mohanmani Acharya, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Rupandehi.
Yadav is currently under investigation for disturbing public peace and order.
The District Administration Office has extended his custody for seven days for further inquiry.
Police are also investigating the origin of the weapons he displayed in the videos.
