Protesting teachers hold mourning on 20th day
In his honor, the Nepal Teachers' Federation is organizing a condolence gathering on the streets.

KATHMANDU: Teachers across Nepal, currently staging protests for educational reforms, have decided to mark the 20th day of their ongoing movement with a special mourning event today.
The program is being held in memory of Man Ghale, the principal of Jana Bikas Basic School in Naso Rural Municipality-8, Manang, who recently lost his life in a road accident.
Originally from Narfu Rural Municipality-8, Ghale’s untimely demise has deeply saddened the teaching community.
In his honor, the Nepal Teachers’ Federation is organizing a condolence gathering on the streets.
As a mark of respect, the federation has instructed all teachers to refrain from any form of celebration, entertainment, or musical activity today.
Federation President Laxmikishor Subedi has urged all participating teachers to maintain discipline and demonstrate respectful behavior throughout the protest.
He has also clearly directed them not to use offensive language against key government figures, including the Prime Minister, Education Minister, Home Minister, and Finance Minister.
Due to the protest, which began at 9 AM today, the Maitighar–New Baneshwor road section in Kathmandu has been obstructed.
The road closure has caused significant disruption for office-goers, students, and the general public, while also complicating traffic management efforts.
