RPP leader Dhawal Rana released on bail
Police released him on bail late Sunday night.

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) General Secretary Dhawal Shumsher Rana has been released on bail considering the sensitivity of his health condition.
Rana was arrested in connection with the violent clash that took place on Chaitra 15 (March 28) in the Tinkune area of Kathmandu, which resulted in the death of two individuals.
According to SSP Bishwo Adhikari of the Kathmandu District Police Office, Rana has been suffering from complications in a cancer-affected area of his mouth. He has been released under the care of his wife for medical treatment and monitoring.
Police released him on bail late Sunday night.
RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha welcomed the decision, calling it a positive step given Rana’s deteriorating health.
However, he also criticized the continued detention of other party leaders, including senior vice-president Rabindra Mishra, labeling it as unjust and inappropriate.
