KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has urged all stakeholders and eligible voters to support the ongoing voter roll update program.

According to EC spokesperson Neeta Pokharel Aryal, the update is being conducted in line with the “Voter Roll Update Procedure 2081” approved by the Commission. The process officially began on April 14 and includes citizens who turned 18 by the end of March (Chaitra).

Applications can be submitted online or by visiting the respective district election offices.

The preliminary voter list is now available on the Commission’s website (www.election.gov.np).

The final updated list will be published by the end of April (Baisakh), Aryal confirmed.

The EC has provided a window from April 20 to 27 for submitting corrections to errors, filing objections against individuals listed, or requesting removal of names listed in multiple places or those of deceased or citizenship-renouncing persons.

The Commission also clarified that new registrations and other updates will continue during this period.
