KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by double digits today, falling by 16.68 points to settle at 2,706.04.

A total of 328 companies saw trading of 21.3 million shares across 74,045 transactions, with a total turnover of approximately Rs 8.43 billion.

Among the trading sectors, Manufacturing & Processing rose by 0.52%, and Trading gained 1.02%. However, all other sectors witnessed declines.

  • Finance: down 1.27%

  • Hotels & Tourism: down 1.36%

Top Gainers and Losers:

  • The top gainer was Nepal Micro Insurance Company Ltd., with a price surge of 9.99%.
