KATHMANDU: The International Nepali Chef Society has elected a 36-member central committee under the leadership of Arun Adhikari during a global gathering held in Kathmandu.

Shyam Angai was elected Senior Vice President, with Surya Bhandari, Saikumar Sharma, and Shyam Bhandari as Vice Presidents.

Deepak Karki is the new General Secretary, alongside Secretary Balram Khatri, Joint Secretary Rajkumar Giri, Treasurer Bishnu Khatri, and Joint Treasurer Hariraj Ghimire.

Board and executive members include chefs from over 36 countries, such as LB Kaushal, Basudev Bhusal, Resham Lama, Human Limbu, Ishwar Pant, Subash Thapa, Saroj Thapa, and others.

President Adhikari pledged to promote Nepali cuisine globally, enhance quality, and support the personal and professional growth of Nepali chefs worldwide.
