Deep Shrestha musical evening to be held on May 3

KATHMANDU: A press conference held on Sunday in Bhaktapur announced that a musical evening featuring Deep Shrestha will take place on May 3.
The event is being organized jointly by the Bhaktapur Musical Society and Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce, and will be hosted at Imperial Banquet, Sallaghari, Bhaktapur.
Organizers expect an audience of up to 1,200 people.
Tickets for the event will be priced at Rs 1,000, 1,500, and 2,500, depending on the seating category.
Various stalls offering food and products will be available at the venue.
During the press conference, singer and composer Deep Shrestha expressed concerns over the growing modernization in music and the trend of relying on tracks for live performances.
He also voiced worry about the fading popularity of contemporary songs.
