Prohibitory order lifts in Birgunj
With the situation now under control, authorities expect daily life to resume as normal from today.

KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office, Parsa, has lifted the prohibitory order imposed in Birgunj Metropolitan City.
The decision was made during a meeting of the District Security Committee held on Thursday, citing a return to normalcy in the security situation.
The meeting, chaired by Chief District Officer (CDO) Ganesh Aryal, decided to lift the order starting from 7:00 AM today (Friday).
According to the official notice, “As per Section 6(3a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS, the prohibitory order enforced since Baisakh 1 has been withdrawn.”
The order had been implemented in various parts of the city following a clash during the Hanuman Jayanti procession last Saturday.
With the situation now under control, authorities expect daily life to resume as normal from today.
