KATHMANDU: The District Administration Office, Parsa, has lifted the prohibitory order imposed in Birgunj Metropolitan City.

The decision was made during a meeting of the District Security Committee held on Thursday, citing a return to normalcy in the security situation.

The meeting, chaired by Chief District Officer (CDO) Ganesh Aryal, decided to lift the order starting from 7:00 AM today (Friday).

According to the official notice, “As per Section 6(3a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS, the prohibitory order enforced since Baisakh 1 has been withdrawn.”
