Farmer killed by lightning strike in Siraha

KATHMANDU: A farmer has died after being struck by lightning in Siraha district.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Bechan Rohita of Bhokraha, Kalyanpur Municipality–6.

According to the District Police Office, Siraha, the incident occurred on Thursday evening while Rohita was working in his own wheat field.

His body has been sent to the Provincial Hospital in Siraha for post-mortem examination.
